Tamara de Lempicka
 
Tamara Gorska is born a daughter of wealthy parents in Warsaw in 1898. Tamara has an older brother, Stanczyk, and a younger sister, Adrienne.

In 1910, Tamara's mother has a famous painter paint a portrait of her daughter. To Tamara, the session is a torture and she dislikes the result. She is convinced she can do it better and makes her sister pose for her. She prefers her own piece to that of the famous painter.

In 1916, Tamara Gorska und Tadeusz Lempicki get married in the Knight-of-Malta-Chapel in Petrograd. In 1923, Tamara und Tadeuz settle over to Paris. Their daughter Kizette is born. Tamara mainly receives painting tuition from Andr? Lhote, her aim is making a living off selling her paintings. In 1928, Tamara and Tadeuz get divorced. In the same year, she meets Baron Raoul.

In 1933, Tamara keeps on working despite the world depression and her work is exhibited in several galleries in Paris. Baron Kuffner proposes to Tamara and she accepts. In 1939, the couple settles over to Beverly Hills.

1943 - 63: The couple moves to New York. Tamara's style changes to abstraction and she starts to work with the spatula.

In 1980, Tamara de Lempicka dies March 18th in her sleep. Accordingly to her wish, her daughter Kizette spreads the ashes over the crater of the Popocateptl.
